Want to find out what shows are on in London? Where to get tickers? What theatre groups are there near you? The British Theatre Guide should be your first stop. We’ve linked to the site because its a great resource for finding theatre related websties. It also gives reviews of performances and news. Be sure to have a look!

We felt that it may be of interest to readers to run a few articles in addition to news on our current projects. This could create an online discussion on arts and theatre on the Island. It’s just a bit of fun and the views expressed would always be the views of the individual writer.
We want to know if you think this is a good idea, let us know what you think:

Invent Theatre is one year old this month, having been formed last November with the creation of our Executive Committee. In our first year we have run three terms of weekly acting sessions, created a Young Writers Week and produced a new play. We hope everyone who has been involved has had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again as we continue to grow and develop. Our weekly acting sessions are now finished and we will be casting for our new play in January 2009.
A big thank you to everyone who has helped get this project of the ground; our sponsors and supporters, our audiences, Ventnor Extended Schools and most of all those on the Executive Committee without whom Invent Theatre would not have existed.

We’ve added some new links to local venues so you can see whats going on around the Island. We will also try to keep you posted on local theatre productions as well so you know whats going on at any one time. We will post this every month to begin with, increasing if necessary.
We are interested to know what you think, if you find the new information helpful and if you would like more.

It may all appear a bit quiet at the moment, but fear not, we are busy planning a series of new projects for the rest of this year and into next. Having had a short break after our performance of my new play, The Asphodel Fields, I am back to keep you updated on all our latest developments. From next week regular postings will be here once again so keep checking back.
I am currently editing a series of short videos taken from the production which will be posted here as soon as they are completed, along with more of the great pictures by our young photographer, Annie Leonard.
In addition to all of this, we will soon be releasing details for our next project which is planned for August 2008 and information on how to get involved.
