Following on from last weeks post we are welcoming new members to join us for the next term. Beginning this Sunday (14th) and running untilthe end of October we are open to any
young people aged ten to nineteen with an interest in acting, writing or art to get in touch and be involved. We have some exciting ideas planned for this term, especially for those interested in writing and directing.
If you want to get involved simply e-mail us at inventtheatre(at)gmail(dot)com or come along this Sunday 11am to Ventnor Middle School but please bring a parent or guardian to complete a small permission form!
How Much Will it Cost? The cost for this term is £16.50
Where/When? Every Sunday 11am to 2pm Middle School

If you are 14 – 19 years old, living on the Isle of Wight and have a passion for writing then this is your last chance to apply for Invent Theatre’s ‘Young Writers Week’ There are a few places remaining for the course which runs from the 18th to the 22nd August 2008. You do not need any prior knowledge or skill to be involved just a passion for writing, and all places will be allocated on a first come, fist serve basis.

Invent Theatre is pleased to release more details on our Young Writers Week taking place this summer.
Calling all aspiring writers!
Young Writers Week: 18th – 22nd August 2008
10am ~ 3pm daily
This summer Invent Theatre, working in partnership with the Extended Schools program, is running a ‘Young Writers Week’ for young people aged fourteen to eighteen living on the Isle of Wight. This exciting opportunity will take the form of a five day course in which those involved will write and direct a short sketch of their own which will then be performed at an open air performance in front of the general public. The five day course will also give young people the chance to meet invited guests, including professional writers, providing advise and feedback on your work.

Invent Theatre is pleased to announce it will be running a five day course for young people passionate about writing who want to take it further this summer. The event, to be held from the 18th to 22nd August 2008 will give those involved the challenge to create their own short sketch or monologue to be performed in an open air concert by the end of the week. It will be an intensive program that will include talks, advise and support from invited guests, including professional writers.
Details of how to get involved will posted in the near future. Please note, there will be a limited number of places so we recommend getting in touch as soon as we publish the application forms.
